Thank you, Rosie, for your insightful responses to our questions. I’m happy to know you are awed each day. Congratulations on your new home, location, community, and next chapter. It’s been touching and meaningful to witness your ongoing ability to reflect, percolate and become a wise sage. I appreciate your effort, expertise and openness. 🫶

"These days, I’m interested and even a little bit envious of people who have lived in one location their entire lives, and who have amassed a deep, embodied knowledge of that place. Relatively quiet lives of contentment and ease seem super cool and aspirational to me these days. Twenty year old me would roll her eyes. " < wow, BIG RELATE, on all levels!!!

Just to say: the giving giving giving nature that pours through this post? Beautiful. Really appreciated the insights, honesty, experience-as-leading-you-towards-bliss, or at least something closer to it. Thank you, Rosie.

So much goodness here, Rosie. I've been working through uncertainties about energy and limited personal resources as I continue to work full time and publish weekly, really questioning the overall value of the creative pursuit. This comment helps: "No matter what happens, you will have done something that makes your life richer and more interesting and connected along the way." Thank you.

Thank you for sharing the answers to these questions. I have a fondness for Leeds. I'm American but I did a year abroad at University of Leeds. Best year of university for me. So much fun and many great memories!

loved hearing your thoughts on the sustained effort it takes to build a sense of community after moving. I am in complete agreement! I think lots of people don’t realise that community isn’t just something that appears out of thin air x

“When you think about doing something — a career move, a relationship, an opportunity — does it make your body want to contract or expand?” I LOVE this! Almost 30 years ago my spiritual teacher said much the same about Yoga — Yoga as a way of being and living, not just “doing poses”. “Yoga is a movement of expansion, toward expansion, and away from contraction and constriction.” And yes, our bodies are the bellwethers.

Yes yoga is such a good practice if you want to adopt this way of decision-making and make it second nature.

This is far from the main point, but the phrase "social atrophy" is perfect. It encapsulates so much about this stage of life.

How interesting that someone took the time to criticize the use of the word ‘kid.’ I’ve always called my kid my kid and he’s my whole world. Funny what bothers people about others’ lives! 😂🤷‍♀️

My sense was that the question was written out of curiosity rather than criticism, might be a generational thing. It did make me think about it though!

Kid is a predominantly American term I think?
