Wonderful conversation and I am going to check out her books. Especially good for me as a new mum. Making me feel proud rather than 'strange' to have carry my daughter (now 16 months old) rather than used a pushchair.

I am a big believer in much of Bowman's advise and thoughts. However, both my sets of grandparents were poor. Sure, they moved a lot, but it wasn't lovely, it was desparate, trying to avoid starvation. Being poor kills, like my uncle who died, after 3 amputations, when he was 12, and many babies. You might have a place in the world, but that place was often hell.
