We seem to be struggling with purpose. I’m not sure if that’s a new struggle, but it’s made worse when part of “what am I here to do” no longer includes “take care of yourself physically.”
Wonderful conversation and I am going to check out her books. Especially good for me as a new mum. Making me feel proud rather than 'strange' to have carry my daughter (now 16 months old) rather than used a pushchair.
I am a big believer in much of Bowman's advise and thoughts. However, both my sets of grandparents were poor. Sure, they moved a lot, but it wasn't lovely, it was desparate, trying to avoid starvation. Being poor kills, like my uncle who died, after 3 amputations, when he was 12, and many babies. You might have a place in the world, but that place was often hell.
Thanks for this Rosie. I love Katy Bowman. I've read her books and follow her on Instagram.
