"Other people's people"

A Live conversation with Lisa Sibbett

Here is my Live conversation with

of The Auntie Bulletin! Nearly 90 of you joined last night which was far more than I was expecting. We spoke about our culture’s weird divide between parents and non-parents; how to ask for (and receive!) help; cultivating an attitude of defiance towards the billionaires who want to wreck, and then leave, planet earth; and how to start loving “other people’s people,” as Lisa beautifully put it.

In scheduling and setting up this conversation, I stupidly allowed Substack’s overzealous settings to trick me into sending my entire email list reminders about it. I really didn’t mean to do that. Appearing in your inbox unnecessarily makes me shudder, so please forgive me.

Below are some links that came up in the conversation. Please let me know if you enjoyed it, and if there are any other people you’d like me to do a Live with in the future.

And thank you to Lisa for your warmth and generosity! We all need more Aunties like Lisa in our lives. Subscribe to her newsletter here.

Thanks for reading. If you enjoy this newsletter, it helps a surprising amount if you hit ❤️ or leave a comment below — or forward it to a friend.
